The but when checking the actual page still sees the old image. This often happens because whatever caching mechanism is being used hasnt timed out yet. It may be configured to wait a week month or even a year to see if the image has changed. That doesnt happen when using the PageSpeed module. There are a lot of additional optionsfilters you can use. There is a known bug in Apache .. that can cause you a lot of headaches with this module.
